About the Role
A new opportunity is available for a Production Operator to join our team in North Melbourne. The role will be responsible for all packing functions to meet customer demands within business parameters. Ensuring continuous monitoring of the packing operation for optimal performance, while keeping in line with company OHS and quality procedures.
* Ensure adequate supplies of packing consumables are always on hand to meet production requirements.
* All products have corrected expiry dates and batch codes
* Loading and unloading trucks, Despatch and receiving goods
* Preforming manual handling duties, moving stock, and loading pallets
* Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
* Contribute to a safe workplace, reporting all risks, hazards, hits and near misses while ensuring that all third-party suppliers comply with company polices.
* Excellent communication skills that ensure you can communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
Our ideal applicant must have a current forklift licence with previous experience working as a Forklift Operator in a Food or Beverage warehouse environment.
You will also have the following:
* Team player attitude with the ability to be proactive and work autonomously.
* A working knowledge of computerised systems
* Great literacy and numeracy skills
* Good organisational skills and a methodical approach to work
