We are a not-for-profit registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider. Our Head Office is based in Wagga Wagga but we are located throughout the Riverina Murray region.
About the Opportunity
We have an exciting part time opportunity for a passionate individual to join our Recycling team. This position is based at Kurrajong Recycling and will operate for 20 hours per week, we are eager to negotiate working days and hours with the successful candidate.
The Communications Officer will develop and implement educational and promotional programs for residents, schools and community groups relating to recycling. We have the capability to develop your recycling knowledge but to be successful in this role you will need to bring developed stakeholder engagement, relationship management and presentation skills to enhance Kurrajong’s brand within the community.
Reporting to the Recycling Manager, key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide professional and positive input to the communication strategies related to public recycling initiatives
  • Liaise with identified Councils on the planning, preparation, implementation and promotion of education programs and activities related to waste recycling
  • Contribute to the development of educational materials, such as brochures, posters, videos, social media and digital online content, recycling exercises and merchandise
  • Identify and participate in opportunities to promote Kurrajong Recycling and products and recycling services available through guided site tours, fairs and expos
To be considered applicants must hold relevant qualifications or working experience in areas such as Communications, Marketing, Vocational Training, Teaching, Education or Environmental Sustainability.

This position is offered within the range of $33.41 - $36.46 per hour + NFP salary packaging, super and annual leave loading.
