About The Company
A large Newcastle-based organisation is looking for a Scrum Master to support critical projects, including HR implementation and database consolidation.
About The Role
As Scrum Master, you will be responsible for ensuring Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) are effectively applied across multiple teams. This includes coaching teams, defining and adapting Agile processes, and removing impediments to ensure high-performance, cross-functional teams. You will also work closely with key stakeholders to promote Agile practices and help guide the successful delivery of the HR and database consolidation projects.
DUTIES
Coach and support teams in applying Scrum and Kanban principles and methodologies.Lead and configure Agile ceremonies to meet team needs, ensuring they remain productive and within time boxes.Develop and implement workflows within an approved Agile toolset to streamline processes.Establish and track key quality metrics (e.g., backlog health, sprint health, predictability) to ensure team success.Instil Scrum values—Commitment, Focus, Openness, Respect, Courage—into teams, fostering a high-trust environment.Develop teams into high-performing, self-directed, cross-functional units.Proactively identify and remove impediments to team progress, ensuring the successful delivery of high-value increments.Coach and train internal stakeholders on Scrum adoption and Agile best practices.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.Demonstrated ability to apply Agile methodologies across multiple teams simultaneously.Experience in coaching teams within an Agile environment, specifically in a “buy-over-build” model.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Scrum and Kanban frameworks.Ability to adapt Agile processes to meet the specific needs of various teams and projects.Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
