We are Sax Café & Lounge Bar. A café by day and European lounge bar by night. With a live Sax player, we have created a unique space for guests to unwind while experiencing our refined food and beverage. Our focus is on providing sophisticated and personable service. Our guests are our main priority, ‘the Sax experience’ is something we are extremely proud of.

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Host and Waiter to join our team. During your shifts you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operation welcoming guests while providing exceptional customer service throughout there time with us.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, introduce the menu, and answer questions about dishes and beverages.
• Guest Reception: Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
• Seating Coordination: Manage seating arrangements to optimize the dining room’s capacity and flow.
• Reservation Management: Handle phone calls, online reservations, and walk-ins with professionalism.
• Order Taking: Accurately record guest orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff.
• Upselling: Recommend additional items or specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Table Maintenance: Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
• Billing and Payment: Present bills, handle cash and card transactions, and process payments accurately.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Clear and reset tables promptly, maintain cleanliness in the dining area, and follow health and safety regulations.
• Product Knowledge: Stay informed about menu items, daily specials, promotions, and dietary options to assist guests effectively.
• Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are served correctly and in a timely manner.
• Problem Resolution: Handle customer complaints professionally and report issues to management as needed.
• Foster a positive work environment and lead by example

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Flexible availability
• Must have working rights in Australia
