Risk Management is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.
The Risk Data Insights and Analytics team forms part of the Group Risk Management function. And uses data and analytics to transform Risk Management through automation, self-service tools and data science. RDIA focuses on innovation with a proven track record of regularly incrementally added new features and capabilities to already CBA best-in-class capabilities.
Do work that matters
The Risk Data Insights and Analytics (RDIA) crew, within Risk, supports the group via a variety of self-service reporting and dashboards to over 6500 CBA users and we also provide regular reporting to external regulators, CBA market disclosures published on the ASX, regular reporting to the Board and senior management. RDIA also develops and operates internal web applications which are key Business Banking and Institutional Banking & Market's credit origination.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll join our specialized team to support and enhance essential web applications used for credit risk assessment in the financial sector. These applications play a critical role in evaluating client creditworthiness and determining default probabilities. Your expertise will help the end-to-end software development process, from innovative solution design to hands-on development, deployment, security, and maintenance, all in line with DevSecOps principles.
We're interested in hearing from people who:
- Can design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and robust software solutions using the .NET stack (ASP.NET and SQL Server).
- Can implement and advocate for DevSecOps best practices, incorporating security from the initial stages of development through to deployment.
- Can perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to improving coding standards and practices within the team.
- Can troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of the software solutions.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the development process.
- Are curious design thinkers that break boundaries to solve complex API and web application problems with an Agility focused mindset.
Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.
- Full SDLC experience (including business partnering, solution design).
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with DevSecOps principles and practices.
- Microsoft .NET Framework, .NET Core migration, ASP.NET and SQL Server.
- Experience with frontend frameworks and technologies such as Angular or React.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS) is advantageous.
