About the Role

We are looking for a Laser Cutting and Machine Operator for our Windsor factory.

Position Objective

To operate laser cutting and CNC router machines in the manufacturing of fire-fighting trucks and emergency vehicles, ensuring the production of high-quality components in a safe and efficient manner, while adhering to all company standards and procedures.

Principle Duties:

Perform duties as assigned

Operate Laser Cutting and CNC router

Maintain machine and tools

Perform tradesmen duties as assigned

Complete jobs as instructed and to drawing specification

Complete quality and process documentation for jobs

Bring problems in the production process to the attention of Area Team Leader

Assist in the capture & documentation of production information when requested

Assist in the development of production procedures when requested

Assist in the identification of WH&S issues

Maintain a clean safe working environment

Attend & participate in regular WH&S meetings

Record duties performed accurately on time sheets

Other duties as required

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Cert II in manufacturing or previous fitting experience

Good people skills

Good communication skills

Eye for detail

Good literacy

Ability to read and interpret basic drawings

Forklift ticket (preferred)
