Purpose of Role:The Warehouse & Delivery Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities and timely deliveries to clients.
Key responsibilities:- Deliveries & Customer Service : Handle deliveries to clients, ensuring excellent customer service and reporting any issues to management.
- Furniture Assembly & Installation : Assist with and, when appropriate, carry out furniture assembly and installations.
- Warehouse & Inventory Support : Assist with receiving goods, inventory checks, organizing stock, and maintaining stock levels.
- Packing & Dispatch : Ensure outgoing goods are appropriately packed for safe dispatch and assist with warehouse organization.
- Vehicle & Warehouse Maintenance : Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of company vehicles and the warehouse.
- Manual Handling & Safety : Perform manual lifting, loading, and unloading of stock, adhering to safety guidelines and using provided safety equipment.
- Full Driving Licence
- LO Forklift Licence
- Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to manage inventory, prioritise tasks, and maintain a tidy and efficient warehouse environment.
- Furniture Experience: Demonstrated ability to work with furniture, ideally 1-2 years of experience.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate packing, handling of goods, and reporting of discrepancies to avoid errors.
- Customer-Focused: Provide excellent service, handling client interactions professionally and ensuring deliveries are on time.
- Reliability and Self-Motivation: Capable of working independently, managing responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving goods, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Team Player: Willing to assist colleagues as needed and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
