From community issues and local council matters to extreme weather, breaking news, and sport, no two days are the same. You’ll work alongside experienced camera operators to craft compelling stories for the NBN News bulletin, website, and social media.ResponsibilitiesDay to day you will: Identify and react to breaking news, issues and trends with smart and engaging ideas within local, state, national and international sport all while maintaining journalistic integrityStay across local news and sport, monitoring community groups and key stakeholdersConduct in-person and live interviewsCollaborate with producers to script and edit stories, producing multiple packages, VOs, and VOSOTs dailyBuild a strong network of contacts across news and sportReport across various platforms, including TV, radio, and social mediaQualificationsEnough about us, let's talk about you!What we would like to see: Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or equivalentExperience in TV journalism, particularly in sports coverageStrong writing and on-air presence tailored for televisionSeamless and crisp writing and communication skills essential for effective storytelling.Proven ability to break stories and build industry relationshipsExperience in producing segments or stories for television broadcasts.A proactive, creative, and team-oriented approachAdditional InformationOur Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:We're committed to a safe, respectful and inclusive Nine.
