The Role
The ABC is looking for a journalist to produce audio news content that aligns with ABC strategy and supports the achievement of News’ programming objectives to be based in our Ultimo office.
The Job
Prepare, produce, and present compelling audio content for national audiences.
Stay updated on major news events and produce timely, accurate stories under tight deadlines.
Support story production by conducting interviews, researching, and editing content.
Contribute to planning and commissioning new content ideas to engage audiences.
Generate stories reflecting Australia's diversity and engage with communities to find relevant stories.

About You
You'll have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of national and international news issues.
Demonstrated editorial judgment and experience working under deadlines.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with strong storytelling and presentation skills.
Passion for telling diverse Australian stories and creating authentic content reflecting cultural diversity.
