The Opportunity
We are looking for Product Security Engineers to support the Battlespace Communication System (BCS) Program. BCS is a next generation networking product that is the centerpiece for multiple projects and campaigns. The BCS combines both developmental and off the shelf hardware and software to provide world leading communications capability for ADF personnel. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design provides a flexible, scalable solution that can be customized for various mission needs.
We are seeking multiple Product Security Engineers at various experience levels to support our upcoming program growth. This role will see you applying your product security skills to either our core product for Army, upgrading the capability to integrate with related maritime communications projects, or modernization of the joint air battlespace management system.

Responsibilities
* Develop and implement product security and resiliency across the entire project lifecycle (requirements, design, build, test, production, operations and support).
* Conduct security authorization and assessment activities for products and systems.
* Create and maintain security policies, audits, and assessments.
* Perform threat assessments.
* Analyze and determine the risk associated with potential vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for mitigation.
* Advise stakeholders on maintaining product security and authorisation, including the implications of product modifications.
* Communicate and collaborate with a diverse team in a conscientious and inclusive way.
Experience/Qualifications
Essential:
* Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
* A relevant technical Bachelor degree (Engineering, IT, Computer Science) or relevant experience
* A desire to work as part of a dynamic team supporting a diverse range of technology
Desirable:
* Experience within Defence or complex engineering project environments
* Familiarity with the Australian Defence security framework, including associated policies and procedures, and an understanding of the Australian Cyber Security Centre Information Security Manual.
* Understanding of product and cyber security practices development and implementation.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey security concepts to diverse audiences.
* Experience with security risk management methodologies and processes.
