Security Monitoring - Control Room Officer

A family owned business we are looking to recruit a team member for our control room who is looking to work 36 hours per week over 3 shifts on a rotating roster that includes days, weekends, nights and public holidays. Permanent night shift team members enjoy 5 weeks holiday per year.

In this role you will report to the Control Room Manager and be responsible for the electronic security monitoring of our clients premises.

To be considered for this role you must possess the following skills, needs and attributes:-

• Be reliable, flexible and a fast learner
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Qld Government issued Security Licence including the monitoring function
• Have a minimum typing speed of 35-40 wpm
• Speak English clearly
• Have reliable transport to travel to the monitoring centre
• Have good written and verbal communication skills
• Be willing to work in a 24/7 rostered environment
• Have a "get it done" attitude with a calm manner
• Want a secure long term position
• Able to work well under pressure whilst remaining friendly and courteous
• Have high levels of energy and be able to think on your feet
• Be computer literate
• Ready to work on a rotating shift roster including days, nights, weekends and public holidays
• Have an attention to detail and data entry skills
• Want to work in a friendly customer focused business
• Enjoy learning new skills
