Applications are invited for the Term Time position of Diverse Learners In Class Teacher Aide . The position works within a team of six staff who support teachers to enhance outcomes for students requiring extension and those with diagnosed learning difficulties. Regular working hours for this position are Mondays and Tuesdays, 8:00am – 3:30pm.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Working with students individually or in small groups within the classroom.
- Providing pastoral and academic support that encourages the development of student skills and independence.
- Liaising with student families and case managers with regard to action plans and outcomes
- Providing feedback to teaching staff to assist with student evaluation processes.
- Maintenance of daily records for NCCD evidence.
ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for people with:
- A certificate Level in Educational Support or equivalent qualifications
- Well-developed research skills through the use of technology
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of diverse learning needs programs for upper primary and secondary school students
- Demonstrated experience in providing In Class Teacher-Aide support to a secondary school diverse learning needs program
- Effective communication and high level of interpersonal skills
- High level organisational and planning skills
- Ability to show initiative and work as a team member
- Experience in providing literacy, numeracy and IT support to secondary school students
