Service Delivery Officer (Plan Sealing)

As the fastest growing city in SEQ, the City of Logan has invested in its development services.

The Development Assessment Branch is pleased to offer a new permanent opportunity for a Service Delivery Officer (Plan Sealing) to be part of Council’s Plan Sealing Team to ensure development is delivered in accordance with approved plans and conditions of approval.
This role is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated person who thrives when working as part of a team with a focus on customer service excellence and efficiency to support Logan’s development industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing plan sealing applications and managing the plan sealing process for plan sealing applications.
  • Corresponding with applicants on all plan sealing related matters.
  • Corresponding with relevant internal Council sections on all plan sealing related matters.
  • Providing updates to management and Councillors on status of plan sealing applications.
  • Providing information and corresponding with members of the public regarding plan sealing matters.

Qualification, knowledge, skills and experience

  • Knowledge of Logan City Council’s plan sealing processes (or another Council’s processes), and the ability to operate autonomously to deliver plan sealing services on behalf of Council.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • A knowledge of all applicable legislation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with members of the public and stakeholders.
  • High level written communication skills to produce accurate correspondence and briefings.
  • Town planning qualifications, knowledge or experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Plan Sealing in a local government context is also highly desirable.
  • Hold a current ‘C’ class licence.
  • Highly Desirable: Qualified JP or CDEC qualification or (if not), willingness to obtain
