About the role
Reporting to the CEO, this is a rare opportunity to help influence Brisbane’s future in a key role as part of a high-profile membership-based organisation. You will be responsible for delivery of the organisation’s policy and research, in line with strategic priorities.
A natural at engagement, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Committee’s five sub-committees, along with creating and delivering the workplans established by each. This diverse, fast-paced role will require working closely with the Committee’s many member organisations to support our vision for Greater Brisbane to be the world’s most liveable place.
The role will suit a passionate professional with a strong interest in policy and communications, experienced in relationship management, and with an understanding and interest in local and state politics. The successful candidate will have experience in writing internal and external communications, including policy submissions, newsletters and reports. Exceptional organisational and engagement skills are a must.

About you
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a project management and/or public policy research and development
- Research and analytical skills
- Extensive experience in engaging complect stakeholder groups in a membership or client-facing organisation
- Understanding of the political process and strategic challenges facing Greater Brisbane
- Demonstrated experience in preparing reports, policy documents and research briefs
- Strong administrative and time management skills
- Customer-centric, courteous manner and professional presentation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Basic graphic design skills desired
- Ability to undertake multiple tasks at the same time with competing deadlines
- Collaborative, team player
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, such as economics, social science, public policy, law or planning is highly desirable
