Description:
We are urgently seeking Parks and Gardens Labourers for local council crews in the streetscape department. The work is predominantly maintaining and upgrading council assets including, gardens, reserves and footpaths, traffic islands (duties include weeding, brush cutting, hedging, mowing, rubbish removal and spraying). The roles are temporary and casual however they give the opportunity of getting a foot in the door with an employer of choice in the region.
You will need:
- Some previous experience with landscaping or parks and gardens work.
- A reasonable level of fitness appropriate to the task described
- A Construction Industry White Card
- Q fever vaccination an advantage or be willing to get vaccinated if
- A truck licence, chainsaw ticket or ACDC licence would be an advantage (but is not a necessity)
- Traffic Management Implementation an advantage
- Pass medical and drug and alcohol test
- Availability to commence asap
For your hard work you will receive:
- An above average casual pay rate for this type of work $37.72 (plus superannuation)
- Casual rostered shifts across a 9- day fortnight with a possibility of some overtime available
