Key responsibilities
As the Assessment and Monitoring Officer, you will specifically:
Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Assess referrals and complaints involving suspected employee misconduct and alleged corrupt conduct; and develop appropriate management strategies.
Assist in managing the process of referring matters to the Crime and Corruption Commission to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Crime and Corruption Act 2001.
Assist in effectively managing public interest disclosures submitted under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 in accordance with legislation, standards and departmental policies and procedures.
Contribute to the reporting of public interest disclosure data in alignment with the department's legislative requirements to the Queensland Ombudsman as per the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010.
Effectively monitor matters being dealt with by operational areas to ensure timely resolution.
Actively maintain the Ethical Standards' records, case and file management systems.
Assist with the provision of effective core business statistic reports for the Office of the Minister and Director-General within tight timeframes.
Assist with the collation of data required from Ethical Standards for Parliamentary Questions on Notice, Estimates Briefs and Annual Reports.
Provide support and assistance to the Manager, Ethical Standards Group as required.
Other duties as directed.
