- Due to recent machinery of government changes, this position will support the newly formed Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (DCSODSFB). This position will be advertised under the former DESBT while establishment changes are finalised*
About the role
As the Program Support Officer, you will
- Prepare responses for and assist with management of shared team mailboxes, ensuring queries from internal and external stakeholders are actioned promptly or referred appropriately.
- Providing general administration assistance to the team, including updating records, preparing correspondence and case studies, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Assist with logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops, and team events, including scheduling, booking resources, coordinating travel, and preparing materials.
- Undertake basic administrative tasks as directed by the leadership team, such as data entry, filing, and document preparation.
- Contribute to the Policy and Program Division strategic priorities by providing administrative and operational support to advance organisational initiatives.
The position requires an applicant who can:
- Can demonstrate strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Has a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when managing email correspondence, records, and administrative processes.
- Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide clear and professional responses to stakeholders.
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, prioritising competing demands effectively.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a willingness to assist colleagues and adapt to changing priorities.
- Displays a positive attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
