Cafe is looking for an experienced chef/cook. The selected person must have proven experience in delivering high quality and consistent breakfast, baking and lunch options, works well in a team, maintain high levels of cleanliness and is proficient in aspects of kitchen operations (inc ordering, stock tracking, menu design).

Key responsibilities:
· Responsibility for daily operations in the kitchen under Head Chef supervision
· Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
· Producing menus and new dishes in keeping with cafe style
· Overall management of food stocks, costs and staff requirements to meet demands
· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
· Rectify arising problems or complaints
· Give prepared plates the “final touch”
· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
· Flexibility to work in different roles in the kitchen and food preparation
Key Skills and Experience
· Minimum 2 years experience working in professional kitchens
· Cooking skills with experience in breakfast and cafe style lunch
· An understanding of produce and ingredients
· The ability to contribute to menus that are both creative and profitable
· Record of kitchen, stock and staff management
· Capable of delegating multiple tasks
· Ability to ensure high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the restaurant area
· Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
