NXT GIG is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Transport & Freight Coordinator to join our logistics team. In this critical role, you will manage the transportation and freight processes for our products, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining high standards of service. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, liaising with carriers and vendors, and monitoring freight performance to optimize logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of transportation logistics, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to solve problems efficiently. - Coordinate all aspects of transport and freight operations, including scheduling and route planning
- Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations
- Monitor shipment status and confirm timely delivery of goods
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with freight providers to secure competitive rates
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight costs, and inventories using logistics management software
- Resolve any issues related to transportation delays, damages, or discrepancies
- Analyze transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in transport and freight coordination or logistics management
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to manage vendor relationships
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
