About the Role:
Our client, a leading renewable energy solutions provider, is seeking a proactive and resilient Field Commissioning Engineer to join their team. This role is essential in managing and performing commissioning and maintenance work on solar and energy storage system (ESS) projects , ensuring successful completion and handover. You will collaborate with internal teams, service partners, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions, with a focus on troubleshooting, system optimization, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop initial commissioning plans and coordinate commissioning activities, including site acceptance tests (SAT) and R2 testing .
- Perform on-site services, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs .
- Conduct basic O&M tasks , monitor systems remotely, and provide basic warranty services.
- Prepare service proposals and O&M plans for utility-scale project tenders and review service contracts.
- Address complex technical issues, collaborating with internal teams such as R&D and technical support.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory usage, spare parts , and service expenses .
- Continuously develop knowledge of the company's products and services.
- Provide training to customers and service partners, ensuring they have the competence to operate the systems correctly.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, with relevant field service and commissioning experience.
- Experience with utility project commissioning and R2 testing is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Mandarin.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel at short notice when required.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
