Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in person and via phone and admit patients into our Exercises Medicine Day Hospital.
- Manage patient bookings, cancellations, and re-bookings quickly and efficiently.
- Process billing and receipting accurately and explain medical paperwork and billing processes to patients.
- Provide administrative support to clinical and allied health staff, including scheduling and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Monitor daily workflow, prioritise tasks, and manage consumable stock levels.
- Coordinate new patient documentation and liaise effectively with external medical providers to gather relevant information.
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organised, and welcoming.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, training, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills on the phone and face to face.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to carefully follow processes and work efficiently to complete expected daily tasks
- Proficiency in administrative software and medical booking systems (training provided).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and billing.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to patient-centred care and confidentiality.
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience in medical reception, customer service, or administrative roles will be highly valued.
- Basic Life Support training (or willingness to obtain).
- Police Record Check.
- Valid Driver’s License for ID verification.
- Evidence of annual mandatory flu vaccination.
