The Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to join our team at Kings Canyon Resort. In this leadership role, you will oversee a dedicated team of general hands, grounds and campground attendants, and skilled tradespeople to ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, managing diverse tasks to ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Duties
- Oversee the quality, consistency, and integrity of all maintenance work.
- Direct and manage skilled workers/technicians for building, facility, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, breakdowns, and malfunctions to minimize disruptions.
- Implement and manage emergency management plans as required.
- Coach and mentor the maintenance team to uphold high service standards.
- Manage resources effectively, reviewing budgets and expenses regularly.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in remote hospitality or mining environments is highly desirable.
- Strong time management and people management skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Fit, energetic, and ready for a physically demanding role.
- Trade Qualified Electrician/Mechanic/Plumber/Engineer/Carpentry
- Unrestricted/Open Manual Drivers License
- Senior First Aid Certificate

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at Kings Canyon Resort. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time. G'day Group offers competitive remuneration and remote living benefits. This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
