Your Opportunity

Primero is seeking an SMP Supervisor to join our team for a $1 billion EPC Greenfields & Brownfields upgrade of a Gold Processing Plant in Kalgoorlie. This is a long-term project operating on a 2:1 roster.

In this role, you will be responsible for directing and controlling all activities under your influence to ensure that these activities meet the Health, Safety, Environment and quality expectations of our clients whilst also delivering on time, within budget and to Primero standard.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Proactively plan the works assigned to you on the project to ensure that the resources required to meet your primary purpose are adequate and fit for purpose.
• Directly accountable for setting up the worksite to ensure that all activities can be conducted in a safe manner for persons working on the site including sub-contractor’s workforce and visitors.
• Liaise with client representatives or sub-contractors on technical and minor contractual issue.
• Responsible for ensuring that pre-start meetings are held daily with all personnel working on the site including subcontractor personnel.
• Identify and assess drawing changes for ongoing technical construction accuracy.
• Complete daily supervisor reports.
• Accurate reporting of progress to the project planner and dayworks (where required) to the site cost controller.

What You ‘Can Do’

• Tertiary and/or Trade Qualified (preferably mechanical)
• Must have 10+ years experience in Structural, Mechanical, Piping, construction and/or Commissioning works.
• Minimum 2+ years as SMP Supervisor for mining construction projects.
• Exposure to EPC environments is preferred.
• Unwavering commitment to a safety and team first approach.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Possess a strong understanding of applicable codes of practice.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Ability to be sufficiently flexible and resourceful to cope with the inherent load fluctuations of construction projects.
• OSH Construction Industry White/Blue Card (Mandatory).
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screen and National Police Clearance
