About the role
As an Intelligence Support Officer, you will proactively contribute to the coordination of criminal intelligence projects, outputs and services that are designed to meet the strategic and operational objectives of the ACIC and its stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Collect, collate, evaluate and manage information across a broad range of information and intelligence sources and systems
- Perform data interrogation activities and research of information and intelligence systems to support team tasks and projects, including the ability to use information technology to undertake basic analysis
- Build and maintain engagement with other intelligence professionals, operational teams and partner agencies to support delivery of outcomes against Intelligence Group priorities
- Provide advice and recommendations to influence the decisions made by others
- Contribute to process improvement and the development of standard operating procedures to support the team
- Support team functions in delivering operational and project governance for Intelligence Group
- Support team administration to ensure team functions are delivered to the best practice standard.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of the Transnational Serious and Organised Crime environment, to identify threats, crime enablers, networks and nationally significant serious and organised crime.
- Ability to collect, collate, evaluate and manage information across a broad range of information and intelligence sources and systems
- Ability to prioritise, track, and efficiently complete time sensitive tasks
- Be detail orientated and has strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to present information logically through written and verbal reporting
- Ability to work with others and to develop and maintain productive relationships that promote information sharing and a common sense of purpose
- Ability to work effectively and collegiately within a team and promote a culture of flexibility and improvement
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve priority outputs within short timeframes.
Essential qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or thematic knowledge of serious and organised crime and the factors that drive, enable and influence crime.
- Hold or ability to obtain a minimum national security clearance Negative Vetting Level 1
- Ability to complete the ACIC Criminal Intelligence Development Program.
Eligibility
- Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
- Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
- Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC
