AUSPAN is an industry leader in custom-designed steel buildings, delivering high-quality agricultural, industrial, and commercial construction projects across Western Australia.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HSE Advisor to support our teams across multiple job sites. This role will see you travelling between project locations to ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations, drive a proactive safety culture, and support our construction teams in maintaining the highest safety standards.
Role Overview
As an HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing safety performance across multiple project sites, providing guidance to project teams, and ensuring that AUSPAN maintains a safe and compliant working environment. Your role will involve a mix of hands-on site inspections, safety training, incident investigations, and compliance management.
This is a site-based position, requiring regular travel to project locations across regional and metropolitan Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Safety Audits & Inspections – Conduct regular site visits to assess hazards, identify risks, and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company safety policies.
- Safety Leadership & Culture – Foster a strong, proactive safety culture by engaging with teams, conducting toolbox talks, and providing on-the-ground safety coaching.
- Incident Investigation & Risk Management – Investigate workplace incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- WHS Compliance & Documentation – Ensure all safety documentation, SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements), permits, and risk assessments are up to date and in compliance with Auspan requirements.
- Training & Development – Deliver safety training sessions, inductions, and toolbox talks to enhance workforce awareness and competency in safety procedures.
- Emergency Response & Safety Planning – Assist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans and site-specific safety strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- We are seeking a motivated and hands-on HSE professional who thrives in a dynamic, field-based role.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar HSE role, ideally within construction, industrial, or manufacturing industries.
- Formal HSE qualifications – Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites across Western Australia.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills – ability to influence, educate, and engage site teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
