We are currently working on multiple projects across the metropolitan area from Two Rocks to Mandurah and from Australind to Margaret River in the southwest region. Our projects have multiple active stages with project values ranging from $500K to $10million.
The Opportunity:
Due to strong growth within the residential development sector, our teams are continuing to expand. We have an exciting job opportunity for a full time Assistant Project Manager to join our Osborne Park office.
Assistant Project Manager is responsible for liaising, supporting and assisting between the project manager and the technical disciplines, essentially, overseeing the various stages of development for a variety of projects. The Assistant Project Manager may also be in charge of performance management of vendors. They assure the accuracy of financial forecasts, which tie-in to project schedules and ensure projects are completed according to project plans.
The control of the abovementioned items will be maintained through constant monitoring and communication. This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for providing project support, coordinating activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.

- Assist the project manager in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Conduct research and gather data to support decision-making and project planning.
- Prepare project documentation, including reports, presentations, and proposals.
- Support the procurement process by assisting in vendor selection and contract management.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
- Coordinate meetings, PC and JFI, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders, ensuring timely dissemination of information.
- Monitor project progress against established schedules and milestones.
- Identify and report potential risks or issues that may impact project delivery.
- Assist in implementing strategies to mitigate risks and resolve issue.
About You:
- A current and valid Western Australia Drivers Licence.
- A Current Construction Card
- The undertaking or completion of Cert IV in Project Management or similar disciplined degree.
- Appropriate experience for the duties being carried out.
- Ensure that production is achieved to meet both quality and production requirements set by the Project Manager.
- Ability to effectively communicate in written, electronic and verbal form.
- Proficient to utilise computer software and equipment (Microsoft Office suite).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Conduct risk/hazard assessments/inspections as required.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively to complete tasks on time.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring high-quality project outcomes.
- Highly proficient with numbers, read to a high standard and write legibly.
- Liase with other Wormall departments such as Purchasing to raise Purchase Orders, and Variations
