Your Role:

This full-time role is based in our Malaga, WA office, where you’ll work both independently and as part of a dynamic team ensuring the smooth operation of our growing business. We seek a forward-thinking individual who takes ownership of their responsibilities, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Project Management & Coordination
  • Project Planning/ Scheduling - Collaborate with site team and client to plan upcoming projects, allocating labor, equipment and materials efficiently and ahead of time to ensure works commence on the relevant start dates.
  • Project Delivery - Execute projects ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the relevant specification and quality standards.
  • Monthly Claim/ Invoicing - Completing monthly project claims for all projects, ensuring correct quantities, rates and additional works are captured
  • Project Completion Signoff
  • Client Communication
  • Oversee project documentation management
  • Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead & manage administration, project supervision, warehousing and field staff to successful outcomes in their respective discipline.
  • Ensure staff are well-trained, motivated and working safely .
  • Hiring & Training - Recruit, train and develop staff, ensuring the skills and knowledge required to perform their tasks are obtained
  • Ensuring staff welfare with irregular and routine check-ins
  • Effective Delegation of Tasks
  • Team Performance Reviews
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Material Procurement - Oversee the procurement of materials, ensuring that they are readily available for their respective projects
  • Efficiently plan material, plant and equipment logistics
  • Vendor Management - Negotiate with suppliers, manage vendor relationships and ensure the appropriate materials and equipment are delivered on time.
  • Budget & Financial Management
  • Cost Control - Monitor project costs, track expenditures and ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Invoice & Billing Oversight - Ensure clients are billed correctly and on time, and that payments are collected promptly.
  • Financial Reporting - Prepare financial reports for monthly meeting with General Manager, tracking project profitability, areas for improvement and areas of success
  • HSEQ Compliance
  • Safety Protocols - Oversee the development and implementation of safety polices and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Ensure the highest quality standards are upheld on all projects through system implementation, hold points and regular site visits and field staff reporting
  • Customer Relation & Business Development
  • Client Satisfaction - Driving successful project outcomes, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly
  • Business Growth - Identify Opportunities for business expansion, including new markets and assist with bidding process for new projects
  • Contract Negotiations - Assist in negotiating contracts and project terms with clients, suppliers and subcontractor
  • Process Improvement and Efficiency
  • Operational Efficiency - Identify and implement systemized process improvements to streamline operations
  • Technology Integration - Utilize software tools and project management platforms to track progress, manage resources and streamline communications

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of fencing and construction in general
  • Strong Microsoft application skills ( Outlook, Excel & Word)
  • Ability navigate project management/ account software
  • Simpro Experience (non- mandatory although desired)
  • Proven Project Management/ Operations Management experience in the industry
  • Data Driven Decision Making
  • Risk Management
