Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview is a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.


We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Sports Centre & Grounds Supervisor to join our Property Services team.


The Gartlan Centre was built in 1991 and is Saint Ignatius’ College, Riverview’s major indoor sporting facility. The Centre houses an indoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, indoor basketball courts, indoor cricket nets, staff and teaching facilities.


Reporting to the Grounds & Sports Services Manager, the Sports Centre & Grounds Supervisor has the primary responsibility for the effective management of the Gartlan Centre and more broadly for providing support to the Grounds and Sports Services Manager.

The College is seeking to employ a motivated person to run the day-to-day operations of the centre, coordinate bookings and staff, and deliver excellent service to the College community.


Relevant demonstrated experience preferred. Self-motivated, customer focused, and willing to have a hands-on approach is all a must.


Some of the day-to-day specific duties the supervisor is responsible to deliver include but not limited to:



  • Directing and managing casual lifeguard staff including rostering
  • Coordinating all bookings in the centre
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders including internal and external customer with exceptional communication
  • Management of the indoor facility, pool plant operations and maintenance schedules
  • Preparation of the indoor facility as appropriate
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks of outdoor fields & equipment
  • Assist the Grounds & Sports Services Manager with ad-hoc requests as required

Qualifications



  • Pool Plant Operations certificate
  • Current Lifeguard certification
  • Current NSW Working with Children’s check
