As a member of the Medium-Term Planning Team, you will be uniquely placed to experience many different facets of a growing SLC/BC mine. With it comes the responsibility and opportunity to have a significant impact on the performance, safety and culture of the operation.

Location : Carrapateena, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: 8 days on; 6 days off
Department : Technical and Technology
Manager: Senior Engineer – Mid Term Planning

In This Role You Will:

  • Provide shutoff analysis and scenario work as well as footprint finder and owning the plan for the SLC in the
  • Assist with the delivery of the quarterly mine plans at Carrapateena. This will be achieved through close engagement with our wider Mining Technical & Technology team, Operations teams and our numerous mining contract partners.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive a quality mine plan.
  • Support for mine planning trade-off studies for opportunity enhancement and threat mitigation.
  • Complete management of change documentation.

As Carrapateena enters a new phase of production ramp-up and operational readiness for the block cave, you will also be involved in the detailed mine planning of mass excavations, block cave footprint and associated infrastructure.

About You:

  • A commitment to developing safety leadership.
  • Experience in underground mining in either practical underground experience, mine scheduling, production, design, mine projects or equivalent.
  • Experience in cave flow or scheduling highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
  • Ability to interact successfully with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work to multiple deadlines.
  • Deswik.CAD experience is an advantage.
