Parklife Metro JV is leading a transformative Metro project connecting St Marys to Bradfield, linking with the new Western Sydney Airport currently under construction. This joint venture with Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild aims to deliver 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills.

The Opportunity
Parklife Metro is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Fit Out to join our dynamic and growing team on one of NSW's largest infrastructure projects. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual to step into a leadership role within a $5bn project.
This position is based onsite at St Marys Station Box and offers the chance to work on a Tier 1 Metro project with a focus on fit out and facade works.
The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for managing a dedicated team and ensuring the quality and safety of all works within their scope.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team on the fit out and facade aspects of the project, ensuring all works are completed in line with project requirements, on time, and within budget.
  • Oversee design management, coordinating with various teams to resolve issues and ensuring designs are implemented to the highest standards.
  • Actively contribute to the management and coordination of the fit out and facade works across the project, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Monitor and enforce Quality Assurance (QA) and Health & Safety (H&S) standards within your areas of responsibility, ensuring all works are carried out to the highest quality and safety levels.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving to address project challenges.
  • Utilise IT systems (e.g., Bluebeam , Microsoft Project, and other Microsoft systems) to manage documentation, track progress, and ensure smooth coordination across all project teams.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to the overall management of fit out and facade works, ensuring quality delivery and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Support the team by mentoring and developing junior engineers, contributing to a positive, supportive, and collaborative work culture.
  • Work closely with the broader project leadership to align project timelines, ensure resources are adequately allocated, and drive the success of the project.
Criteria
  • Tier 1 building background with proven experience in managing fit out and facade works on large-scale construction projects.
  • Previous experience working on Metro projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability in design management and coordination, with the capacity to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Proficient in IT systems , including Bluebeam , Microsoft systems, and Microsoft Project.
  • Motivated, organised, and driven to deliver results with the willingness to take direction and learn.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including construction hours, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Quality Assurance (QA) and Health & Safety (H&S) protocols in construction.
