The role
This position supports the delivery of essential logistics services within Queensland Health, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of materials across various locations. Responsibilities include loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate handling equipment, adhering to safety and compliance requirements, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). The role also involves coordinating deliveries and collections, conducting vehicle maintenance checks, and ensuring high standards of customer service when interacting with stakeholders. Additionally, adherence to infection control protocols, workplace safety policies, and organisational procedures is essential.
Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to operational excellence. A valid Medium Rigid, Heavy Rigid, or Multi-Combination licence is mandatory, with a forklift or high-risk work licence highly regarded. Compliance with vaccination requirements and other Queensland Health policies is also necessary.

The COVID-19 Supply Chain Surety Division (CSCSD) was established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to manage the unprecedented demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) and other critical medical supplies locally and internationally. The division amalgamated some existing teams and functions critical to Queensland Health's supply response for the duration of the pandemic, including Strategic Procurement, Supply Chain Services, Central Pharmacy, Finance Transactional Services. This Division is also leading the implementation of the Queensland Government Critical Supply Reserve (QGCSR).
