ABOUT THE ROLE

To support Football Australia's progression in delivering high standard, engaging and fulfilling match day experiences through the planning and delivery of premium event experiences.

Sitting within the Events team, this role will work closely with all departments and external sales agents to plan, deliver and continually refine premium experiences around match days, corporate events and other functions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will be responsible for all the finer points of planning and deliver from contributing to experience design, leading on bringing the experiences to life in conjunction with venues and providers, processing direct sales enquiries and overseeing top-tier customer experience.

Event Coordination:

  • Coordinate and manage all activities relating to hospitality events including design, sales and marketing approach, matchday ticketing operations, event briefings, reporting and sales reconciliations.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings and site visits.
  • Support the FA corporate events team to deliver match day and non-match experiences.
  • Ensure all logistical aspects are handled efficiently, including scheduling, staffing, client lists and preferences, floor plans, ticketing, accreditation, ingress/egress, parking, catering, theming, speakers/master of ceremonies, production management (audio-visual) and communications.
  • Facilitating the procurement/production of event signage, branded merchandise, memorabilia and theming elements for events

Sales:

  • Prepare sales forecasts for each event based on volume and yield and manage sales reports throughout the event sales period.
  • Main point of contact and lead for external sales agents including opportunities, timelines, inventory, pricing and final packages to market.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate sales guests and clients (match day and non-match day).
  • Provide insights and feedback from guests to support sales strategies and decision-making.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, preferences, and communications.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of guest management activities.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as Purchase Orders, invoicing, payments, scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining files.
  • Develop and manage budgets per event for guest servicing and management.
  • Fulfilment of ticketing requirements for corporate partners including servicing, ticket provision and guest management at events

Guest Experience Enhancement:

  • Develop and distribute event communications to clients.
  • Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction levels to continuously improve service quality.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance the overall guest experience and exceed expectations.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Track and analyse guest interactions and feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for enhancing guest management processes.
  • Support the Senior Manager- Ticketing & Sales on any government reporting or special group management as required.

ABOUT YOU

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of guest relations, or event management, with a strong project management focus
  • Previous experience in an event operations, hospitality sales, ticketing related role, or similar position
  • Strong project management disciplines inclusive of the ability to prioritise at peak times
  • Social media literacy and creativity in marketing/promoting events
  • Proven experience and ability in leading staff and contractors in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal Football Australia departments and external stakeholders, external vendors, and agencies
  • Ability to take a strategic view on corporate ticket sales and servicing whilst simultaneously exhibiting a strong attention to detail
  • Strong communications (verbal & written) & relationship management skills
  • Experience updating websites and/or using CRMs desirable
  • Advanced IT knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

Additional Requirements:

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalent
  • International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)
  • Out of hours and weekend work as required
