About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing FMCG business with an exception portfolio of delicious brands, who are known for their excellence and people-first culture. They foster a dynamic environment that encourages entrepreneurialism, authenticity, and passion, and are at an exciting stage within their business as they continue to focus on disrupting the ANZ market with the best gourmet food and brands sourced globally. As part of their growth agenda, they are seeking a Senior Category Lead to report into the CEO based in Melbourne.
The Role
This is a newly created role that has been developed to elevate and take the category function to the next level. Already with category processes & principles in place, you instrumental in creating and implementing category management frameworks that drive growth and innovation. Working closely with the marketing and commercial teams, alongside key retail partners, you will spearhead range review processes whilst also supporting portfolio management and SRM initiatives. You will own the full end to end category management process, including all strategic planning, pricing, NPD launches and in the not too distant future, hire a Category Analyst to support you and the broader business.
Your Experience
The successful candidate will come with strong category development experience from within the FMCG industry. You should possess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, along with a collaborative approach to leadership. Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and influencing abilities are key, as is the capacity to delve into the details, establish new systems, and work effectively across the organization.
This role is positioned to become the 'Head of Category' for the total business and would suit an aspiring commercial leader who wants to make an impact quickly.
