About the Role:
This is a 9 month fixed term contract that exists to deliver a top-notch experience for our customers through all communication touch-points. The experience our customers have with Momentum is often derived from how we communicate with them. This role helps us get this right.
You’ll lead two Customer Communications team members, and collaborate with the wider Customer Communications team and other business areas, to manage existing communications & collateral. You’ll make sure we’re distributing the right pieces at the right time, making updates as appropriate. You’ll be particularly influential in creating new communications required to address new business processes, products or opportunities for our customers. Energy’s a heavily regulated industry, you’ll help us ensure we’re staying compliant with all requirements.
What you’ll do:
- You’ll be a leader within the Communications team, delivering key projects within the Comms space.
- A people leader, you’re responsible for managing two direct reports to achieve key outcomes within the Communications team.
- You lead initiatives, and other cross-functional projects, across the wider business.
- Identify opportunities to improve communications processes delivering best-practice solutions to meet business requirements and a first-class customer experience.
- Triaging communication issues to investigate impacts, and prioritise and action fixes in alignment with existing priorities.
- You’ll lead the design of communications processes and ensure appropriate system design documentation is developed, and ensure accuracy through thorough testing procedures
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to drive effective customer outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders (i.e. mail house, and print house vendors) to oversee operational functions and drive continuous process improvement initiatives for ongoing and ad hoc initiatives
- Lead work through our in-house Studio team to bring our brand tone of voice and distinctive creative to our communications.
About You and Your Experience:
- Solid experience in a communications manager or specialist role
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
- Proven problem solving abilities
- Experience in managing the expectations of multiple stakeholders
- A customer centric mindset (naturally)
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Clear strategic thinker
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to ensure information is effectively communicated to key stakeholders
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks within tight timelines
- Ability to lead a small, high-performing team
- Ability to analyse problems and deliver innovative solutions
