Our York Road Nursery includes a thriving retail garden centre open to the public, and we’re looking for an experienced Retail Nursery Supervisor to join our team.

About the Role
As Retail Nursery Supervisor, you will lead and work alongside a team of 4-6 supported employees, guiding them in daily operations at our York Road retail garden centre. This role is hands-on and diverse, covering all aspects of retail nursery operations, including:
- Supporting and supervising a team of adults with diverse abilities
- Assisting with store opening and closing
- Delivering outstanding customer service
- Labelling, plant care, and watering
- Creating product displays
- Weeding, crop maintenance, and general nursery duties

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Passionate about plants – You have a strong knowledge of plant care and are experienced in working a retail nursery setting
Customer-focused – You take pride in providing excellent service
A natural leader – You lead by example and enjoy mentoring others
A great communicator – You can engage with people of all abilities and backgrounds
Fit and active – This is a hands-on, physically engaging role
To be successful, you must have:
At least 18 months of experience in a leadership role within a retail nursery setting
Experience working with people with disabilities is highly regarded
Formal horticultural qualifications are desirable
Wholesale nursery experience is also an advantage but not essential
Additional Requirements
A valid driver’s licence
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (or authorised medical exemption)
Willingness to undergo an NDIS Worker Screening Check
