Description

The Storeman is responsible for the control of stock and tools within our warehouses and branches. This includes receiving, storing, assembling, packing, and unpacking goods, with a key focus on managing larger tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the SFI inventory tracking system to ensure accuracy.
  • Report shortages or damaged stock to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor.
  • Process and check documentation for accuracy.
  • Inspect new inventory to ensure it is ready for use on projects or business operations.
  • Load and unload tools and equipment from shipping containers.
  • Retrieve tools and equipment from racking and prepare them for job dispatch.
  • Return tools from completed jobs, inspect for damage, and restock appropriately.
  • Use computers to track stock levels, locations, and quantities.
  • Ensure correct labelling and storage of goods.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment to move and store items at various heights.
  • Assist with regular stocktakes to maintain inventory accuracy.

This role is ideal for someone organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling larger tools and equipment.
