The Role
The Business Development Manager role will see you perform a diverse range of duties to support the ongoing growth and success of Pacific Fuel Solutions (PFS). As the face of the business for the greater Ballarat and Geelong areas, you will proactively work to connect new and existing customers with wholesale petroleum and lubricant products and solutions From generating new business leads, to ongoing client care, your exceptional communication skills, demonstrated ability to proactively plan and implement , and generate new business as well as nurture existing client relationships service will set you up for success in this long term role opportunity.
When not on the road visiting clients, you will leverage your wholesale petroleum market knowledge and experience to analyse market trends, develop business development plans and identify and follow leads and report against KPI’s throughout the year. This role would suit an experienced and optimistic Business Development Manager who is looking for their next career opportunity within a genuinely supportive team.
Duties
- Grow the Pacific Fuel Solutions business through a range of proactive and reactive business development and sales activities
- Manage existing accounts, providing responsive and tailored service and support to new and existing customers
- Analyse market trends to provide actionable leads and undertake associated-, short-, medium- and long-term follow-up
- Support the completion of Annual Sales Plans and complete associated reporting
- Prior experience in a Business Development Manager role
- Prior experience within the wholesale petroleum industry (or closely tied industry)
- Demonstrated excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive and personally driven approach to your work with a demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Excellent planning and organizing skills
- Familiarity with HubSpot and MS Office products may be advantageous
- A current valid Australian driver’s license must be held and maintained at all times in order to undertake the duties of this role
- Full-time role + competitive base salary + car + benefits

- Could be based in the Geelong, Werribee or Ballarat areas (or similar)

The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily pass pre-employment checks prior to commencement. The checks may include, for example, psychometric assessment, police check, reference checks, driver history report, medical or physical fitness assessment prior to commencement.
