Sutton Laurence King Lawyers (SLK) is a dynamic full-service boutique law firm in the heart of Collins Street. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, we’re expanding our team and looking for a passionate Legal Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join our supportive and energetic team in a full-time position.

This role is part of our ongoing expansion, with positions advertised across multiple jurisdictions to keep up with the growing demand for our services. This is a full time in office position.

The Opportunity

What You’ll Do

  • Greeting Clients – Welcome clients and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Answering Phones.
  • Scheduling Appointments – Manage calendars and schedule meetings for attorneys.
  • Managing Incoming and outgoing mail and emails
  • Document Preparation – Assist with drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents.
  • File Opening and Closing.
  • Office Supplies Management – Order and restock office supplies as needed.
  • Processing Payments – Handle client payments, invoices, and basic billing.
  • Providing general administrative support to lawyers and administrative staff.
  • Managing Conference Rooms.
  • Data Entry – Input client and case details into legal databases.
  • Monitoring Deadlines – Track case deadlines and important dates for attorneys.
  • Maintaining Office Cleanliness – Ensure the reception and common areas are tidy.
  • Handling Deliveries – Accept and distribute packages, legal documents, and courier deliveries.
  • Other adhoc duties as required

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in the legal sector preferred.
  • Proven experience as receptionist with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A positive, proactive team attitude.
