The role:
Our School Crossing Supervisors assist in providing a safe and effective means for school-aged children and other pedestrians to cross the road at established school crossings and traffic lights within the Whitehorse municipality. Opportunities exist at Whitehorse City Council for motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individuals of all ages to join our team. We provide uniforms, equipment and ongoing support . You will have access to a full training program before starting your role. About you:- Have a current driver’s licence and vehicle or reliable transport
- Have the ability to follow road safety procedures and have a strong focus on your surroundings
- At times, attend shifts at short notice and be prepared to accept phone calls from 7am on school days
- Be willing to work in varying weather conditions
- Be positive with a friendly attitude
- Have the ability to communicate effectively in English with people of all ages
- Undertake eLearning when necessary
- Successfully complete the pre-employment medical, police and working with children checks
- Be willing to install a timesheet mobile application on your smart phone. We can help you install the application during training
