This will be a fixed term contract until end of July 25 with a possibility of extending.
The Role
We are looking for someone with insurance/underwriting knowledge to join us on a fixed term contract to help our underwriting team during our busy renewal period.
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:
- Assess and process new business applications in accordance with the delegated authority of the role as outlined in the Underwriting manual and within the established service standards
- Liaise with the Underwriting Committee as required
- Recommend and assist with implementation of improvements to the new business process
- Document amendments to any new business procedures
- Issue pricing indications, offers and undertake follow ups
- Analyze and prepare monthly new business reports for management
- Administration of the New Membership inbox.
- Assist with other Underwriting functions
- Assist with renewal activities
Skills and Experience
- Proactive mindset, positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Adaptable and flexible in approach.
- Competent with systems
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads
Formal Qualifications
- Underwriting experience with knowledge of Professional Indemnity/Medical Indemnity
- RG146/Tier 2 required
- Thorough understanding of insurance principles, industry practices and Medical Indemnity legislation
- Certificate IV insurance qualification desirable
