About the Role
As a Watercart Operator with TradeConnex, you’ll be an essential part of our team, assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our projects. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys the satisfaction of seeing a job well done.
What You’ll Do:
- Dust Suppression – Operate the watercart to spray water over roads, work areas, and excavation sites to minimize dust.
- Soil Compaction Support – Apply controlled amounts of water to aid in compacting soil for roadworks, foundations, and embankments.
- Refilling and Monitoring Water Levels – Ensure the watercart is properly filled and maintain appropriate water levels throughout the shift.
- Safe Operation Around Machinery & Workers – Work carefully around heavy equipment, trenches, and personnel to ensure a safe worksite.
- Basic Equipment Maintenance – Conduct pre-start inspections, check hoses, pumps, and spray nozzles, and report any mechanical issues.
- Following Safety and Environmental Regulations – Conducting pre-start checks, ensuring safe operation near workers and structures, and minimizing environmental impact during excavation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as an Watercart Operator
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Relevant RIIMPO206D (Conduct bulk water truck operations) ticket or equivalent competency.
- Commitment to safety and following site regulations.
- Current OH&S White card.
- HR/MR License (Mandatory for road-registered watercarts).
- Availability to start ASAP
