Playgroup NSW is the leading organisation dedicated to fostering connection, learning, and play for families with young children across New South Wales. With over 70 dedicated staff and more than 500 passionate volunteers, we have a strong and vibrant presence across the state. For over 50 years, Playgroup NSW has delivered and linked families to, vital services such as parent support groups and playgroups for those experiencing vulnerability and diversity, and those who value community connections.
Thousands of families join Playgroup and parent support sessions each week, strengthening their parenting skills, supporting their children’s learning and development and equally as important, building their village. Through community-led programs, Playgroup NSW also offers meaningful volunteer opportunities, empowering volunteers to foster connections through the power of play. With every program designed to help families navigate the challenges of parenting, create meaningful connections, and build strong, resilient communities.
The Role
We're seeking a dynamic Specialist Projects Officer to join our team on a fixed-term, full-time basis. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Coordinate and expand our Intergenerational Playgroup Program, connecting young children with older adults in aged care and community settings.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance program delivery and community engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including aged care providers, community groups, and volunteers.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of other exciting projects that align with our mission.
About You
- You're passionate about early childhood development and community connection.
- You have a degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g. community services, social work, early childhood education).
- You possess strong project management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- You're an excellent communicator with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- You're highly organised and have a keen eye for detail.
- You're proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and comfortable using CRM databases.
- You have a current Working with Children Check.
