As the organisation continues to evolve, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of People & Culture to establish and lead the P&C Business Partnering function, ensuring alignment between people strategies and business objectives.This role requires a strategic P&C leader with a strong background in business partnering, capable of driving cultural change, delivering meaningful people outcomes, and ensuring P&C is a true enabler of business success. In a fast-evolving and dynamic environment, this role requires adaptability, and a proactive approach to managing complexity and driving transformation. Role Overview The Head of People & Culture will be responsible for leading a team of P&C Business Partners and Advisors that support leaders in making informed people decisions, foster a positive workplace culture, and enhance employee engagement. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer and working closely with the Operations team, this role will shape the way we deliver support to our clinicians so they can deliver the best possible care for pets.This role is client facing and features a hybrid work arrangement, with four days in the office or in clinic, to collaborate and build strong connections. Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic P&C leadership, coaching, and support to senior leaders and managers to drive engagement, high performance and results.
- Develop and implement P&C frameworks, tools, and policies that enable leaders to manage their teams effectively.
- Ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand employment legislation implementing best practice employee and industrial relations strategies for implementation.
- Champion leadership development, succession planning, and talent management programs.
- Lead our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and programs.
- Support our remuneration and benefits programs and initiatives.
- Ensure the seamless delivery of employee life cycle activities, incorporating enhanced processes and new technologies.
- Lead cultural transformation initiatives that foster a high-performance, engaged workforce.
- Develop and execute change management strategies, supporting M&A and workforce planning activities.
- Lead, coach and support the career development of a high performing P&C team.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field;
- Extensive experience in senior P&C leadership roles, with a proven track record in business partnering;
- Strong background in building and leading teams within a multi-site, service-based organisation;
- In-depth knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment law, industrial relations, and P&C best practices;
- Experience in organisational design, change management, and cultural transformation;
- A people-first approach with the ability to influence, coach, and support leaders at all levels and support talent succession processes;
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to align P&C initiatives with business priorities; and
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a complex and evolving environment, with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
