How will I help?
As part of the GR&A Regulatory Reporting team, you will be working with a diverse group of regulatory and statutory reporting professionals to deliver strong financial and regulatory control through the application and ongoing improvement of policies, processes and standards; provide financial insights and advice to help our business leaders achieve business outcomes; and build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders.
The role provides a unique opportunity to be part of high-profile change initiatives and projects across multiple business units that aim to meet the strategic goals of the business and the group, including assessing reporting impacts. One of these projects is the Technology Simplification Program (UNITE) which will transform Westpac through the delivery of business and technology initiatives to improve the experience for our customers and people and to simplifying the bank. You will also gain experience in meeting and managing regulatory and executive stakeholder requirements.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ability to analyse financial and regulatory data to enable clear insights and actions.
- Support the preparation, review and analysis of regulatory returns and detailed information packs and analyses to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of regulatory reporting for the Westpac Group
- Business Partnering with various Business Units across the Westpac Group to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, such as Line of Business, Product Finance teams, Treasury etc
- Contribute to on-going efficiency improvements by helping streamline activities and enhancing insights
- Support Regulatory Reporting across forums and initiatives within a complex change agenda with multiple competing priorities
- Support a robust control framework, including the enhancement of the regulatory reporting policies, frameworks and guidelines and ensuring appropriate controls are designed and operating effectively.
- Provide support for ad-hoc analyses and impact assessments.

What do I need?
- Competent in analytics, insights and reporting to stakeholders such as PowerBI or Tableau
- Competent programming skills such as SQL, Python
- Previous relevant experience in financial services (preferably banking)
- Good working knowledge of financial concepts
- Good understanding of business performance drivers
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office suite
