Key deliverables include influencing Category Management and operational initiatives, utilizing strategic sourcing and procurement techniques. Placing and follow-up of purchase orders primarily to support manufacturing function and administration. Maintain supplier relationships – emphasis on putting in place long term agreements with regular suppliers.
  • ResMed’s Global Supplier Alliance (GSA) team is looking for a strategic and driven Senior Category & Contracts Manager to govern and optimize suppliers (IT & System Integration Suppliers) related to an ERP Transformation Program. This role will manage business critical supplier engagements by developing and implementing effective supplier management strategies and effective contract management disciplines. Value will be demonstrated in this role by obtaining savings and optimizing total engagement costs, whilst fulfilling key capability and delivery requirements as they relate to the project. Reporting to the Indirect Procurement IT Portfolio Manager, and working closely with the project team, legal and finance business functions, this role is vital in helping ResMed transform our internal systems in a well governed, efficient and structured way.

    • The primary objective of Category Management specialization within Procurement Job Family is to develop and implement commercial and supplier management strategies in alignment with ResMed’s operational and strategic business goals.
    • This successful applicant;
      • Leads the Supplier Relationship Management process for vendors contracted to deliver services and deliverables to the ERP Transformation Program, whilst working closely with senior leaders and project management stakeholders to support effective SRM, covering: Vendor engagement, governance requirements, performance management, in accordance with contractual requirements & plans, review spend & opportunities to optimize spend and to provide SRM direction to the project team.
      • Assist the ERP Transformation Program Director by offering guidance on the program's contractual obligations with vendors and informing when vendors are expected to deliver required outcomes.
      • demonstrates effective supplier relationship methodologies. delivers sustainable cost & value and manages business and compliance risks to minimize non-forecasted cost exposure.
      • effectively partners and collaborate across GSA and the wider ResMed business to maximize value from the project supplier base, develops and implement Category and Contract Management strategies and supports the project and project related teams.
      • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and cost control measures to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
      • Focuses on the development and implementation of strategic and operational commercial objectives that help achieve project mission.
      • Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters related to the project.
      • Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, whilst maintaining long-term working relationships with both the supplier side and internally.


    Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

    • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/procurement related discipline or MCIPS / ISM Qualified
    • Minimum of 10 years of related IT SaaS Licensing & Professional Services Procurement experience with a proven record of delivering and working with large scale IT project teams on significant change initiatives.
    • Addresses issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of own function and related procurement and contract management disciplines.
