About Your Role
The Category Manager role is responsible for the delivery and execution of a category strategy across an AP cluster to maximise value delivery, including P&L savings, Cash flow and financial benefits and sustainable competitive service delivery. In addition this role will ensure quality and continuity of supply of goods or services purchased in the category using a total cost of ownership approach and drive delivery of the CCEP Sustainability change agenda with category suppliers in line with our corporate “This Is Forward” commitments.
This role could be based in Australia or Auckland NZ
What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for Facilities Management and MRO category management, including developing supplier performance via strategic supplier meetings, carry out RFIs / RFPs, run negotiations and manage contracts
- Deliver supply agreements in accordance with strategy objectives to ensure delivery of optimum business results
- Identify and deliver supply optimization and harmonization initiatives
- Deliver cost savings through negotiation and realization of cost reduction projects.
- Create and maintain competitive advantage for CCEP through the achievement of lowest possible total acquisition costs.
- Deliver optimal cost management through accurate and timely reporting and compliance with Contract and Chart of Authority processes
- Accurately forecast and budget pricing for raw materials and service costs and deliver forecasted budgets, ensuring communication of any variance at the earliest opportunity completely with potential business impact.
- Deliver risk management strategies to mitigate the impact of volatile supply markets
- Develop creative, value focused sourcing strategies and identify new sources of supply
- Enable and exploit supplier innovation of services and products to deliver competitive advantage and cost reduction to CCEP
- Ensure suppliers are approved and comply with TCCC Supplier Guiding Principles and CCEP CRS requirements including SBTI, Renewable energy and Ecovadis scoring.
- University degree or relevant professional qualification
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in category management, preferably FMCG.
- Experience in FMCG procurement, developing procurement category strategies across multiple geographies and functions
- Experience working in a high profile public company in a multi-national environment
- Strategic thinker
- Good communication skills (able to influence at a senior level)
- Experience in negotiating complex, high volume contracts
- Demonstrate the capacity to evaluate issues analytically and commercially
