The Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented financial professional that thrives in a collaborative environment with a knack for innovation? We’re looking for a Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and drive strategic insights.
HeliMods is seeking an experienced Financial Controller focused on overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management. This role encompasses core accounting functions and provides strategic business partner support to the Head of Engineering and Head of Production.
The role includes the following key responsibilities:
- Support Business Functions: Provide data-driven insights to the Heads of Business Functions.
- Lead Financial Operations: Oversee accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Drive Financial Reporting: Manage monthly and annual financial statements, regulatory reporting, and returns.
- Ensure Quality Control: Develop and implement internal control policies and conduct compliance audits.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in financial management, accounting or a similar role. Industrial, manufacturing or aerospace exposure preferred, but not required.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CA, CPA or equivalent certification is preferred).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, preferably in a multi-entity and global context.
- Proficiency in ERP system and finance-related systems.
- Understanding of manufacturing cost models.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing innovative solution, including a strong interest in exploring systems and technologies to enhance financial operations.
