Purpose
As Maintenance Manager , you will play a critical role in ensuring our property and small but dedicated Maintenance Team operates at peak efficiency. You will lead by example, managing resources effectively and implementing a proactive approach to preventative maintenance , ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while safeguarding long-term performance and safety.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of two , including a full-time and part-time Maintenance Assistant
- Implement a guest-focused, service-centric approach to maintenance, ensuring all work enhances the guest experience
- Drive a proactive and preventative maintenance strategy , ensuring equipment longevity and operational efficiency
- Maintain clear, effective communication with all stakeholders , including the General Manager, guests, and on-site contractors
- Oversee compliance with WHS regulations , ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff
- Manage and track programmed maintenance , keeping internal and external stakeholders informed through structured email and telephone communication
- Foster collaboration with all departments to ensure swift issue resolution and seamless operational support
Skills and Experience
- A dynamic leader with hands-on experience in maintenance or engineering , preferably within strata/MLR operations
- Strong administrative and computer skills , with a knack for stakeholder management and negotiation
- Sound financial acumen , with the ability to manage budgets effectively and ensure a profitable operation
- In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation and best practices for compliance
- Ability to handle emergency maintenance beyond regular hours, responding confidently to power outages, fire system evacuations, and mechanical failures
- No official qualifications required , but relevant experience is highly valued
Salary
- $75,000 - $78,000 + Super & Access to Accor Global Benefits
