So what does an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic do? They maintain the systems & equipment required for air conditioning units, along with food storage & preservation structures. This is a valuable trade that can really take you places, and you will always be in demand!
This apprenticeship is within a business leading the way in Tasmania with heating & cooling, solar, refrigeration & electrical services, within large scale commercial & industrial projects, as well as domestic properties.
What would this involve?
- You would be employed by Work & Training for the duration of your training contract.
- Full time hours.
- Full entitlements including four weeks of holidays per year.
- Theory training conducted in blocks of training.
- You would receive mentoring and support throughout the traineeship.
- Your workplace supervisors would provide daily coaching and opportunity for growth.
Gain skills you will be able to build upon:
- Work through job requirements from specifications and drawings to lay out installation reference points.
- Installation of heating & cooling systems, solar systems & refrigeration.
- Adjusting mechanisms and controls.
- Repair & service of systems.
