About the Role:
You’ll manage and lead the day to day operations of a team of employees in Anglicare’s Addictions Domain who deliver services that assist those affected by alcohol and other drug addictions across Tasmania.
You’ll also facilitate the delivery of aligned processes, practices and learning, ensuring they are provided with appropriate practice supervision and that support is provided in line with Anglicare’s Framework of Practice You’ll also participate in the ongoing development and evaluation of the provision of services in consultation with people seeking our support, family members, other services and other team members.
The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas:
- An understanding of the processes people utilises to overcome adversity/distress when facing life challenges.
- Provide line and Practice supervision to a group of staff in a manner consistent with Anglicare’s values, Practice principles and workplace principles.
- Knowledge of practices relating to service delivery to people with a range of barriers and issues.
- An understanding of the Anglicare practice framework and other standards relevant to the Community Services Sector
- Effective time management with the ability to develop, implement and coordinate activities of a group of workers.
- Demonstrate high level of communication and interpersonal skills with: people who access our services, family/carers, colleagues, other service providers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously within organisational policy and procedure.
- A high level of professionalism and a willingness to develop and reflect on professional practice.
- Relevant formal training and experience in providing support to people facing adversity and challenges in their lives.
- Relevant tertiary qualification(s) and clearly demonstrated experience or relevant non-tertiary qualification(s) and extensive experience deemed to be the equivalent.
- Previous experience in a service management role in health or human services or experience in providing services within a Practice framework.

The successful applicant will be required to:
- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the 1st time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021;
- present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type Nationally Coordinated Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical;
- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
